Expansion
Work on the final phase of Vossenberg begins in 2009. This will extend the park by a total of more than 100 hectares.
Because business activity in Tilburg is developing fast, we are going to be very careful in how we allocate the available land. Vossenberg’s current profile is the result of historical evolution, now formalized in official policy. This means that not all types of business qualify to locate there. Moreover, we expect the demand for plots to outstrip supply.
The zoning plan for the new area, Vossenberg West II, reserves the available land for large and mixed industrial companies – for the most part in environmental category 3, 4 or 5 – transport firms and logistical service providers. There are also limits on the amount of noise that can be produced: businesses which fall under category 2.4 of the Entities and Permits Order pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act (Inrichtingen- en Vergunningenbesluit Wet Milieubeheer) may not locate there.
